{"id":5453,"date":"2025-10-21T03:12:05","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T07:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog-alexis.monville.com\/en\/?p=5453"},"modified":"2025-10-21T03:12:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T07:12:08","slug":"above-or-below-the-line-a-simple-reflection-for-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog-alexis.monville.com\/en\/2025\/10\/21\/above-or-below-the-line-a-simple-reflection-for-leaders\/","title":{"rendered":"Above or Below the Line: A Simple Reflection for Leaders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In busy weeks filled with meetings, decisions, and endless messages, it is easy to lose sight of what drives us.<br>Sometimes we move from one task to another without noticing whether we are acting out of obligation or out of genuine choice.<br>This quick reflection can help leaders and teams reconnect with what truly matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a piece of paper.<br>Draw a horizontal line across it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now think back over your past week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each time you did something because you <strong>had to<\/strong>, make a small mark <strong>below<\/strong> the line.<br>Each time you did something because you <strong>wanted to<\/strong>, make a small mark <strong>above<\/strong> the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pause.<br>Look at your page.
