This book use a novel at the beginning to make easier to understand the ideas that are further reexplain at the end.<\/p>\n<p>The five dysfunctions can&#8217;t be treated in isolation, the first one is the foundation of the next and so on.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2293\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog-alexis.monville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/TheFiveDysfunctionsOfATeam-2-300x251.png?resize=300%2C251&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"TheFiveDysfunctionsOfATeam-2\" width=\"300\" height=\"251\">The five dysfunctions are, according to the author:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Absence of trust: unwilling to be vulnerable within the group<\/li>\n<li>Fear of conflict: seeking artificial harmony over constructive passionate debate<\/li>\n<li>Lack of commitment: feigning buy-in for group decisions creates ambiguity throughout the organization<\/li>\n<li>Avoidance of accountability: ducking the responsibility to call peers on counterproductive behavior which sets low standards<\/li>\n<li>Inattention to results: focusing on personal success, status and ego before team success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The author suggest tools to resolve each of the five dysfunctions.
